The United States is one of the largest countries in the world and occupies an area with a varied relief, which is located in four climatic zones. The southeast of the country is in the humid tropics, where there are mangrove forests and wetlands. The west is occupied by dry tropics, where nature is deserted. The central part is covered with tall grass steppes, while the more northern areas are occupied by deciduous and coniferous forests. The extreme north of the country is also occupied by the steppes and the arctic desert, where the climate is always cold.
