Reactions proceeding with the formation of a precipitate.

Here are some examples of reactions in the course of which a precipitate forms:
1. The reaction between silver nitrate and soluble chloride with the formation of a white precipitate – silver chloride
AgNO3 + NaCl = AgCl + NaNO3
Ag (+) + NO3 (-) + Na (+) + Cl (-) = AgCl + Na (+) + NO3 (-)
Ag (+) + Cl (-) = AgCl
2. The reaction between barium chloride and magnesium sulfate with the formation of a white precipitate – barium sulfate
BaCl2 + MgSO4 = BaSO4 + MgCl2
Ba (2+) + 2Cl (-) + Mg (2+) + SO4 (2-) = BaSO4 + Mg (2+) + 2Cl (-)
Ba (2+) + SO4 (2-) = BaSO4
