Reacts with hydrochloric acid: 1) sodium carbonate 2) sodium sulfate 3) sodium nitrate 4) sodium chloride;

The reaction between acid and salt goes to the end, if as a result of it a precipitate forms, water or gas is formed.
The reactions between hydrochloric acid and sodium sulfate, sodium chloride and sodium nitrate do not occur, since these are salts of strong acids and all the products of their interaction will be soluble.
Hydrochloric acid is stronger than carbonic acid and displaces it from the salt – sodium carbonate.
2 HCl + Na2CO3 = 2 NaCl + H2CO3
2 H (+) + 2 Cl (-) + 2 Na (+) + CO3 (-2) = 2 Na (+) + 2 Cl (-) + H2O + CO2
2 H (+) + CO3 (-2) = H2O + CO2
