Reasons for adopting Christianity?

As everyone knows, in the 10th century in Russia, Prince Vladimir the Great adopted Christianity, which was of great historical importance. So, before Russia was pagan, but Vladimir decided to baptize Russia because he was afraid that it might crumble. But the Christian faith itself provides for one God, and therefore one king in the state. By this, Vladimir simply strengthened his position and even more united the people in Kievan Rus around one Prince.
