Reasons for the defeat of the bourgeois-democratic revolution.

The main reason for the defeat of the 1905-1907 revolution, which was of a bourgeois-democratic character, was that the army still supported the emperor, therefore it sought to suppress the revolution. Since the army was strong, it managed to do it. The support of the emperor by the nobility was also strong, which made it possible to introduce only minor changes in the internal order: the rebels achieved only the creation of an elected State Duma, which the emperor could dissolve at any time. This body was needed to separate the legislative power.
