Reasons for the defeat of the Napoleonic army.

Reasons for the defeat of Napoleon’s army:
1) bad weather conditions that prevented the army from advancing further. Many warriors froze and began to get sick. By the end of autumn, snow fell, which complicated the planned route;
2) terrible roads, along which the army had to go. The horses could not stand it and got tired quickly. Napoleon himself called the roads “unbearable”;
3) omnipresent fire. The Russians, so that their property, money, sheds, animals, houses did not go to the French invaders, set them on fire. The fire forced the army to change the route on the move and take a detour;
4) many of the buildings that the representative of Napoleon’s army wanted to take possession were very strong. After trying various methods of destruction, some buildings were left alone;
5) the strength of the Russian army, loyalty to the Motherland and the competent strategy of Kutuzov – the commander-in-chief of the army. The strength of mind made it possible for them to resist the pressure of the Napoleonic army.
