Reasons for the division of the Christian church.

The reasons:

a) There were differences in the clarification of the doctrine, as well as in the conduct of the church rites themselves.

c) The path of development of the West (that is, the Catholic Church represented by Rome – Vatican) and Byzantium have long diverged.

d) There were disputes about the primacy in power: who is the pope of Rome endowed with the highest power? Or the Patriarch of Constantinople?

e) Competition between the churches on the issue of the baptism of the Slavic peoples.
