Reasons for the reformation of the church in Germany in the 16th century.

In the 16th century, dissatisfaction with the church began to rise sharply. In 1517, Pope Leo X issues a law allowing the church to absolve sins for money and issue indulgences. This drew criticism from Martin Luther – one of the founders of the Reformation in Germany. After that, he publishes the famous 95 theses. In addition, the reason for the reformation is the emergence in the 16th century of the bourgeoisie, which no longer needed the old church with huge expenditures on the decoration of cathedrals and luxurious attire of the clergy.
