Reforms of Japan in the 19th century.

Reforms began in 1868, Emperor Mutsuhito reformed the following areas:
Army and navy. In Japan, they were the fastest in Asia reformed according to the European model, this was not the case in Korea and China, so the Japanese defeated China in 1895, Russia in 1905, and Korea in 1910.
Administrative. Instead of dividing into principalities ruled by daimyo, they made a division into prefectures.
Political. The country has a constitution and parliament, again – for the first time in Asia. The shogunate was abolished.
In addition, the elimination of illiteracy began, universities, railways and factories appeared, the country by 1900 became the most developed in Asia.
