Relief:
• in the west of the mainland, in temperate latitudes, the Cordillera mountains are located, which impede the passage of sea air.
• in the center of the mainland there is a strip of plain.
• there are no mountain ranges in the north of the mainland.
Minerals: Large quantities of oil, nickel and iron are mined here. There are also small deposits of aluminum, manganese and tin.
