Remember and write down the main differences between animal and plant cells.

First of all, a plant cell is capable of photosynthesis, an animal one is not. Plants are autotrophic by the way of feeding, i.e. all the necessary substances are synthesized independently, animals are heterotrophs, i.e. to feed them, they need organic substances produced by other organisms. Vacuoles of animal cells are contractile and digestive, plant – are cavities filled with cell sap. The main source of energy for a plant cell is starch and inulin; in animal cells, glycogen acts as a storage carbon.
