Remember how handicraft production was organized in the Middle Ages. What changes were necessary for the transition to capitalism.

Crafts in the Middle Ages were mostly handicraft – a small amount of goods were produced using handicrafts. Later, artisans began to unite in workshops in order to protect their manufacture and their rights in European cities from the encroachments of feudal lords. The reason for the emergence of capitalism can be considered technical progress, which introduced inventions, with whose help it was possible to switch to mass production, first in manufactories, and then in factories and plants. This transition first occurred in the British Empire.
