Reproduction of which organisms is characterized as sexual?

Reproduction of any organisms will be characterized as sexual if two parents participate in it – a male and a female. Most modern multicellular and unicellular organisms reproduce in this way. In the first case, the offspring develops as a result of the fusion of special germ cells of the parents, and in the case of unicellular organisms, the function of germ cells is performed by nuclei. It is sexual reproduction, in contrast to asexual, that ensures the appearance of hereditary diversity in the offspring.
