In addition, the country entered a long period of anarchy and civil strife between Lancaster and York. The treasury of the Kingdom of England was devastated. The country could not recover from this for another century.
France defended its right to be a single powerful state, established its sphere of influence, which will soon be united into one state. Chivalry, as an estate that held back development, was almost destroyed. The king received a strong power, as well as a professional army, which marked the beginning of centralization.
