• Avoid rivers and valleys adjacent to the volcano.
• Protect your head from stones and dust.
• If ash falls, close windows and doors and avoid going outside unnecessarily.
• If ash starts to seep into your home, wear a respirator or breathe through a towel.
• Never approach the lava.
