Signs of an agrarian society in 16-17th century India?

In the 16th and 17th centuries in India, 15 million people lived in cities and 85 million in villages. This is the first sign that the society was agrarian. In this situation, the main occupation was agriculture, widespread in the villages. From those who were engaged in agriculture, the established taxes were collected, that is, the treasury was replenished at the expense of agriculture. A much smaller part of the people were engaged in crafts and trade.
