Similarities and differences between generative and vegetative buds.

A bud is a part of a shoot, or rather a rudimentary shoot, as it contains all its parts. By function, the buds are divided into vegetative ones – they contain a future shoot with leaves and generative ones, from which a flower shoot develops.
Similarities: they have a rudimentary stem, rudimentary leaves, rudimentary buds, and are covered with renal scales on top.
Differences: vegetative – narrower and can be located on any part of the shoot. Generative – rounded, contain rudimentary buds and are most often apical.
