Similarities and differences between swallow and swift.

These birds look very similar to each other, those who do not understand them can confuse them.
Similarities: 1) Structure and size; 2) The tail is bifurcated; 3) The lifestyle is very similar, they fly a lot; 4) Flight; 5) They feed and eat the same – in flight.
Differences: 1) The breast of the swallows is all white, while the siskins have only a small white speck; 2) The wings of a siskin are longer and bent like a sickle, and in flight he never folds them; 3) Swifts fly faster and squeak loudly in flight; 4) In swallows, as in all birds, the structure of the foot is the same (three toes are in front and one is behind). Siskins have all four fingers in front, because of this they cannot sit on branches and wires; 5) The tail of swallows is longer and bifurcated almost to the base, while in siskins it is shorter and its edges are longer; 6) Swifts return from warm edges later than all birds, because they hunt insects.
