Similarities and differences between the Renaissance and the Enlightenment.

The era of revival preceded the era of enlightenment and was a preparatory stage in the cultural enlightenment of Europe. In terms of time, the Renaissance falls on the 14-16 centuries. In a cultural sense, at this time there is an appeal to the study of the ancient world, pre-Christian arts and ancient philosophy, the preaching of humanism. It was an appeal to what was lost in the darkness of the Christian Middle Ages. Prominent representatives of the Renaissance are Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. The Age of Enlightenment captured the 17th and 18th centuries and continued the appeal to humanism and the development of the arts. But new philosophical movements have already begun to appear, based not on a religious understanding of the world, but on scientific achievements in mathematics, astronomy, physics and other natural sciences. Science began to develop and universities began to appear. The religious picture of the world and state structure began to be criticized and rethought. In the era of enlightenment, scientists, writers, educators and philosophers such as Newton, Descartes, Galileo, Voltaire, Diderot, Rousseau advanced.
