Society in ancient Athens consisted of aristocracy, demos and slaves, and foreigners and immigrants from other Greek cities can also be brought here. Naturally, the aristocracy was at the top of such a society. Then there was a simple demos. The slaves were the most powerless in Athens. Also, women had rather limited rights. They were not allowed into politics, they did not have the right to vote, they could not take part in the Olympic Games.
