Solution of the task:

1.2x + 3y = 5.6x + y = 5x.

2.6x + y = 5x. Let’s simplify. Move x to one side: y = 5x – 6x. Find similar ones by adding -6x and 5x. We get that y = -x.

3. Substitute the obtained value into the first equation of the system: 2x + 3 (-x) = 5.

4. We get: 2x – 3x = 5.

5. Let’s simplify. We are looking for similar terms: 2x and 3x. We get: -x = 5, so x = -5.

6. Substitute in y = -x. We get that y = 5.

Answer: x = -5, y = 5.
