Substances are made of molecules, so why do bodies made of them appear to be solid?

Since the value of the distance between the molecules corresponds to their own size (the diameter of the molecule is approximately equal to 10-6 mm), it is possible to see the gaps between the molecules only with the help of an electron microscope. Therefore, to the naked eye it seems that bodies consisting of molecules are solid.
