| Suggest your examples of ionic reactions proceeding with the formation of precipitation, using the table of solubility. Write down the reaction equations in molecular and ionic forms.
Example 1.
Na2SiO3 + CuSO4 = CuSiO3 + Na2SO4 – molecular equation where CuSiO3 precipitates.
2Na (+) + SiO3 (2-) + Cu (2+) + SO4 (2-) = CuSiO3 + 2Na (+) + SO4 (2-) – complete ionic equation.
SiO3 (2-) + Cu (2+) = CuSiO3 is an abbreviated ionic equation.
Example 2.
FeCl3 + 3NaOH = Fe (OH) 3 + 3NaCl is a molecular equation where Fe (OH) 3 precipitates.
Fe (+) + 3Cl (-) + 3Na (+) + 3OH (-) = Fe (OH) 3 + 3Na (+) + 3Cl (-) is the complete ionic equation.
Fe (+) + 3OH (-) = Fe (OH) 3 is an abbreviated ionic equation.
