To define the theorem on tangent line segments, consider two tangents, intersecting at point A, to a circle with a center at point O. The tangents touch at points B and C.
THEOREM: the segments of the tangents to the circle drawn from one point are equal and make equal angles between the segment drawn from the point of intersection of the tangents and the center of the circle, and the tangents. That is, AC = AB, and the angles CAO = OAB
