Techniques used by Hannibal at the Battle of Cannes.

This battle took place in 216 BC. Then a large army of Rome came out against Carthage, which was twice as large as the army of Hannibal itself. But that wasn’t a problem for Hannibal. He built his infantry in a crescent, so that when the Roman troops faced the Carthaginians, they would go deep into the ranks of the enemy. Given the superiority of Carthage in cavalry, he would have easily coped with the cavalry troops of Rome. So Hannibal’s cavalry defeated the Roman, after which the main part of the Roman troops was surrounded on both sides by the cavalry and infantry of Carthage, which was the reason for the defeat of Rome.
