Warmer areas of the body contain molecules that, on average, move faster than molecules located in less heated areas of the body. Accordingly, faster molecules collide with slower ones, transferring part of their kinetic energy to them. And the average kinetic energy of the molecules of the whole body increases, and, consequently, the average temperature also increases, which is a measure of the average speed of movement of the molecules of the physical body.
