Most of the ocean receives at least 1000 mm of precipitation per year. In the equatorial belt, the Bay of Bengal and in the east of the Arabian Sea, the indicator increases to 2000-4000 mm. There is increased cloudiness (up to 6 points). Little precipitation falls on the following territories:
