The aquarium has an area of 32 dm square by a height of 60 cm. Determine the mass of the poured water if the aquarium is half full. The density of water is p = 1 g / cm3.

Let us find out to what number of cubic centimeters the volume of our aquarium corresponds, when from the condition of the task we know that with a base area equal to 32 dm2, its height is 60 cm:

100 * 32 = 3200;

3200 * 60 = 192000.

Let’s find out to what number of cubic centimeters the volume of water in our aquarium corresponds, when from the condition of the task we know that it is only half full:

192000: 2 = 96000.

Let’s define its mass:

96000 * 1 = 96000.

Answer: The mass is equal to 96000 g or 96 kg.
