| The area of a right-angled triangle S (m2) can be calculated by the formula S = a * b / 2, where a and b are the lengths of the legs of the triangle (in meters). Using this formula, find the leg length b (in meters), if the area of the triangle is S = 12 m2, the leg length is a = 4 m.
Multiplying the formula for the area of a right-angled triangle by 2, we get:
2 * S = a * b.
Dividing by the length of the leg a:
b = 2 * S / a.
Substituting the values specified in the problem into the resulting formula, we obtain:
b = 2 * 12/4 = 6 m.
Answer: the length of leg b is 6 m.
