| It is known from the condition that the area of the rectangle is 5.76 m2, and one of its sides is 3.6 meters. In order to calculate the perimeter of a rectangle, first of all, let’s find the length of the second side.
Let’s remember the formula for finding the area of a rectangle.
S = a * b, where a and b are the length and width of the rectangle.
Substitute the known values and solve the equation.
3.6a = 5.76;
a = 5.76: 3.6;
a = 1.6 meters length of the second side.
We look for the perimeter by the formula:
P = 2 (a + b) = 2 (1.6 + 3.6) = 2 * 5.2 = 10.4 meters perimeter.
