First of all, we find the width of the rectangle, provided that its area is 7.82 cm², and its length = 4.6 cm.

If S = a * b, therefore:

b = S: a = 7.82: 4.6 = 1.7 cm.

Since such a figure has equal opposite sides, its perimeter is calculated by the formula:

P = 2a + 2b = 2 * 4.6 + 2 * 1.7 = 9.2 + 3.4 = 12.6 cm.
