The area of a rhombus can be defined as half the product of its diagonals, i.e. S = 0.5 * d1 * d2. The unknown diagonal can be found by expressing it using the above formula through the area and another diagonal: d2 = 2 * S / d1. Substituting the numerical values, we get: d2 = 2 * 36/6 = 12.
