| The area of the trapezoid is found by the formula
S = h * (a + b) / 2, where h is the height of the trapezoid, a and b are the length of the bases.
By the statement of the problem, the base a is 4 cm larger than b. a = b + 4
32 = 8 * (b + 4 + b) / 2 = 4 * (2 * b + 4);
2 * b + 4 = 8;
2 * b = 4;
b = 2 cm;
a = 2 + 4 = 6 cm.
Answer: The base of the trapezoid is 2 and 6 cm.
