Let the length of the smaller base of the trapezoid be 2 * X, then the length of the larger base, by condition, is 3 * X cm.

Let’s use the formula for the length of the midline of a trapezoid.

KM = (BC + AD) / 2 = (2 * X + 3 * X) / 2 = 5 m.

5 * X = 5 * 2 = 10.

X = 10/5 = 2 m.

Then BC = 2 * 2 = 4 m.

AD = 3 * 2 = 6 m.

Answer: The lengths of the base are equal: BC = 4 m, AD = 6 m.
