The bisector of angle A is drawn in the rectangle ABCD. Find the perimeter of the rectangle, if BM is 2 cm, CM is 3 cm.

Since AM is the bisector of angle A, then triangle ABM is isosceles with angles 90: 2 = 45 degrees, then the side is:

AB = BM = 2 cm.

BC = BM + MC = 2 + 3 = 5 cm.

Then we find the perimeter by the well-known formula:

P = 2 * (AB + BC) = 2 * (2 + 5) = 14 cm.
