The cause of the tsunami.

According to statistics, most of all tsunamis occurred as a result of earthquakes that occurred in the area of tectonic plates of the Pacific Ring of Fire. If an earthquake occurs in the earth’s crust located under the ocean, the water is displaced along with the crust, forming waves that, reaching land, carry a huge amount of water onto it at high speed, destroying everything in its path. The largest recorded tsunami waves reached forty meters in height. This natural disaster can also occur as a result of a volcanic eruption and if a large amount of ice from a glacier falls into the water.
