The most famous oracle in Ancient Greece was at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. Moreover, this temple was founded by Apollo himself in honor of his victory over the monster Python. The city of Delphi was the center of spirituality and worship of religion. In Delphi, people reached out in the hope of receiving the oracle’s prophecy. Many rich offerings were made to the Temple of Apollo. One of them was a sculpture of Apollo, made of solid gold. A theater and a stadium were also built in the city with money donated to the oracle.
