The contribution of the ancient Hellenes to world culture.

Almost everything we teach in school has to do with the Greeks. To the ancients and later. All sciences and other achievements in the form in which they have come down to us were produced by the Greeks.

Examples:

1. Military art. The Greeks had a very developed fleet, which made it possible to successfully trade throughout the Mediterranean Sea and Pontus Euxine. The exploits of the Greek fleet are legendary. The Greeks conquered vast territories. Science and education were carried everywhere. Everyone knows about the glorious victory of the Athenians and Plateians over the Persians at Marathon.

2. Architecture. Any of the temples dedicated to each of the Gods is a masterpiece.

3. Literature. We are currently using the Greek alphabet. Many works of the Greeks became the basis for modern scientific works.

4. Mathematics and physics. Archimedes of Syracuse.

5. Democracy.

In absolutely all areas of our modern life, the achievements of the ancient Greeks are the basis.
