The course of the reformation in France.

Reformation sentiments were picked up by France from Germany. The reason for the Protestant movements was the discontent of the majority of the layers of the Catholic Church. After the teachings of Martin Luther, the idea of John Calvin appeared. It was in the interests of the bourgeoisie and industrialists. The peasants went on strike against the large levies of the Catholic Church. The nobles wanted in this way to expand their possessions with the help of monastic and church lands.
