The device of a medieval city.

The medieval city looked like something unapproachable. Due to the large number of military conflicts at this time, all medieval cities were built in such a way that there were several entrance gates, and along the perimeter there was a large, high and impregnable wall. Sometimes the wall covered fields and vineyards at the edge of the city. Also in medieval cities there were rather narrow streets, buildings of several floors were built. There was no street lighting in the cities. Due to the pollution of the city, there was an unpleasant smell everywhere and large heaps of rubbish at the corners.
