To find the height of a rectangular screen, knowing the diagonal and width, we use the formula of the Pythagorean theorem:
c ^ 2 = a ^ 2 + b ^ 2.
c – a diagonal equal to 40 cm.
a – width equal to 32 cm.
b ^ 2 = c ^ 2 – a ^ 2 = 40 ^ 2 – 32 ^ 2 = 1600 – 1024 = 576.
