3. To calculate the lengths of the sides of a rectangle, we use the formula for calculating its diagonal using the Pythagorean theorem:

AC² = AD² + SD². AD² + SD² = 2500.

AD² + (7AD / 24) ² = 2500.625AD² / 24² = 2500.

625AD² = 2500 x 576. AD = √4 x 576 = 48 centimeters.

CD = 7AD / 24 = 7 x 48: 24 = 14 centimeters.

Answer: the sides of the rectangle are AD = 48 centimeters, CD = 14 centimeters.
