| Because the diagonals of the rhombus are perpendicular and the intersection point is halved, then:
AO = ½ AC = ½ * 14 = 7 (cm);
BO = ½ BD = ½ * 48 = 24 (cm).
ABO triangle – rectangular.
By the Pythagorean theorem, we find the hypotenuse of the triangle (the side of the rhombus):
AB2 = BO2 + AO2 = 576 + 49 = 625;
AB = 25 (cm).
Answer: the side of the rhombus is 25 cm.
