The solution of the problem:
1. A cube has all sides (edges) equal. Its volume is equal to the product of length, width and height.
We find its value:
6 x 6 x 6 = 216 cm³.
2. Find the surface area of the cube. The area of one face is equal to the product of its two sides, that is, 6 x 6 = 36 cm². The cube has 6 faces. Therefore, the surface area of the cube is:
36 x 6 = 216 cm²
Answer: the surface area of a cube is 216 cm².
