There are two options here:
1) If the cow is homozygous for a dominant trait, 100% of the offspring will be black and homozygous for that trait.
2) If the cow is heterozygous, then 100% of the offspring will be black, but 50% will be homozygous for the dominant trait, and 50% will be heterozygous.
If you cross two heterozygotes with each other, the phenotype splitting will be 3: 1 (black to red), and by the genotype 1: 2: 1 (dominant homozygotes to heterozygotes to recessive homozygotes)
