The first mammals appeared in the Mesozoic era (Triassic period). During this period of time, primitive amphibians die out and the first dinosaurs, pterosaurs and oviparous mammals appear. In the Jurassic period, the first insectivorous marsupials and toothed birds appear. Dinosaurs are getting bigger and stronger. In the Cretaceous period, the first modern birds appear, dinosaurs and toothy birds become extinct.
