The earthworm lives in the soil at a shallow depth. It is up to about 5 meters. Deeper worms can be found only when there is soil and humus. The name of these worms has nothing to do with the fact that they like rain. On the contrary, they cannot breathe when rain floods their burrows. Therefore, they creep out to the surface. Due to the fact that you can see them after the rain, they were called rain.
