| A cylinder is a geometric body created by rotating a rectangle around its side.
The volume of a cylinder is equal to the product of its base area by its height:
V = Sb. H = πr2h.
Since the height of the cylinder is equal to its diameter, and the diameter is equal to twice the radius, then:
h = d = 2r;
h = d = 2 1 = 2 m.
V = 3.14 12 2 = 6.28 cm3.
Answer: the volume of the cylinder is 6.28 cm3.
