The significance of the performance of the Decembrists in the history of the Russian state lies in the fact that it showed an understanding of part of the ruling class of the obstacles to the full development of our country. The stratification of society, inequality, largely outdated laws and rules of life and management greatly slowed down the growth and development of our country. The Decembrists tried to make changes from above, without the support of the people, and were defeated. Some of them were exiled, the leaders were executed.
