The historical significance of the Second World War.

For the world as a whole – the creation of the UN. The very term “United Nations” appeared in 1942 and meant the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition. Plus an understanding of the horror of wars, after the Second World War nothing of the kind was observed in scale. Defeat of Nazism and Fascism. Banning these ideologies, denazification. For the USSR – the expansion of the sphere of influence, the creation of a bloc of socialist countries. For the United States, it means expanding its influence in the world and in Europe. For Great Britain and France – soon after the war, they lost almost all of their colonies.
